I think Roger regretted it, because we made a lot of bloody noise. I got people like Maggie Bell from Stone The Crows, Mike Patto and Roger Chapman and we'd rehearse there. Edries however was unwell and didn't stay for long. It was Jim Leverton who played bass on the album but he left when the band was about to tour and was replaced first by Edries Fataar. Interestingly it list Edries Fataar as the bass player. Those guitars would come with more of a matte finish and the TAG is very well done but looks like a clear coat or shinier version if that makes sense. I’ve had some good pickups in tele’s including Peter Florence, Ellis and Lollars, and I wouldn’t swap these out for anything I’ve heard or played. Pretty surprised at how much I like the overall tone as you hear guys that love the TAG but swap out pickups. Great for drive tones, almost as big as a humbucker in the bridge pickup. Much like the 55 Danocaster Whiteguard I had Dan build for me a few years back. The guitar doesn’t have that traditional treble tele bite(that I always had to roll off the tone a bit on anyway), but still has the tele snap. I really love the look of the dark maple, and the stainless frets. Better than any other guitar I’ve owned imho. The neck and fretwork like most TA i’ve owned or played are just impeccable. This TA is a translucent white, black pick guard with level two distressed and the TF Tele noiseless pickups with a roasted (caramel) maple neck. I’m not solely a relic guy, have also a nice shiny TAG, Crowdster and a Gibson Johnny A, but I like the worn look for function (like a well worn pair of jeans), as I certainly don’t worry about bumps, scratches or loaning it out as well! I know that Tom is newer to the distressed, worn or relic side of things, I’ve owned three Danocasters and an Xotic California Classic as well as a K-line Truxton for comparison. Will try to get a pic or two in the next day or so, but some first impressions. Wanted to get a T style to match my Icon S and this landed a few days ago.
